Dear Parents,
St Joseph’s is an inclusive Catholic Primary school for children aged 4 – 11. Everyone is warmly
welcomed from all denominations or from no faith backgrounds.
Our Children
The uniqueness of every child is celebrated at St Joseph’s. We have an aspirational and
inclusive culture where we are passionate about every individual flourishing. We prepare our
children for their future - academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially.
Parents say their children are, “…extremely happy”, have, “a wonderful experience” and,
“thrive academically”.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to build confidence and the ability to articulate clearly in order to give
each individual a voice. It is broad, balanced, progressive and builds knowledge. It is rich and
engaging. It enables our children to build an understanding and make connections about our
world locally, nationally and globally - in the past, present and in the future.
Ofsted said our school provides, “a wide range of experiences”, and a “well sequenced
curriculum”.
Our Parents and Community
As a school we recognise that a strong partnership with parents is essential for the best
outcomes for our young people. We work hard to help our parents support their child’s learning
and well-being. We enjoy good relationships with our parents and are always working to improve
this further. We have an active Friends Association which helps provide the children with a range
of extracurricular activities and resources.
Our Staff
At the heart of our ethos are the Gospel values of Kindness, Courage, Forgiveness, Peace,
Compassion, Justice, Humility and Integrity. As a school community, we strive to live these
values in everything we do.
Ofsted said, “staff are ambitious for pupils to succeed”.
Parents say our staff are, “kind and caring”, “provide great support”, and are “lovely and
very helpful”.
Above all we aim for our school to be a happy, nurturing place full of laughter, respect and love.
